Award Specialties was founded by George Doolittle in April, 1981. When college student Lisa McNeilly applied at the store for a full-time position in August of '81, she had no idea she had found her calling. Lisa spent the next eighteen years getting hands-on training under George's tutelage and reading industry journals to increase her knowledge. Lisa enjoyed her work so much she bought the business in January, 1999.

Still at its original location at the corner of SE Oak and 4th in Hillsboro, Award Specialties honors its founder by continuing to offer full customer service by a highly- trained staff. Lisa adds new technologies and trends to her inventory, but one thing remains the same: The #1 Goal of Award Specialties is Complete Customer Satisfaction.


Our production process ensures superb results

  • HOW TO ORDER: You may order in person at our store at 370 SE 4th in Hillsboro, email your orders to us at trophylisa@aol.com, or fax your orders to us at (503) 648-3581. All email and fax orders are considered original orders.
  • PRODUCTION TIME: Normal production time is one week for in-stock items, from receipt of order. Please allow 2-3 weeks for larger orders. April - August is our busy season, so please allow 2 - 3 weeks for normal orders during that time, and call for production time on large orders. Award Specialties strives to work with all their customers to ensure orders are received in a timely manner.
  • ENGRAVING: Award Specialties has an on-site laser engraving machine. This enables us to engrave a wide range of items, including glass, stainless steel, wood, acrylic and rubber stamps, artwork and special logos. Questions? Please feel free to ask!
  • ARTWORK: All orders should be accompanied with sharp black and white camera-ready artwork (no grey tones). Photocopies, matchbooks and letterheads may not be acceptable. The quality of the artwork determines the quality of the completed image. Please call us at or stop by the store with your artwork and we will gladly help you.
  • PROOFS: Lasered, silk-screened or sublimated orders will be available for artwork approval upon customer request. We are sorry, but proofs for engraved orders are not available.
  • Award Specialties has a minimum billing charge of $5.00 on all orders.
